Samo Hočevar

Dr. Samo B. Hočevar received a PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2002 from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Presently, he is the Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) in Ljubljana, a member of the Scientific Council of the NIC, a member of the Program Board of the E-RIHS.si infrastructure consortium (a national hub of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science), and a member of the Steering Board of the SiMBION infrastructure consortium (a national node of the Euro-BioImaging). His research interests include the development, study, miniaturization, and application of advanced electrochemical sensors, such as trace metal sensors, gas sensors, and biosensors (immunosensors, genosensors).
